Name of the Activity: Educational Visit to Nandigram
Time: 8:00 am to 12:00 noon
Venue: Nandigram Ashram, Dharampur, Valsad.
Objective: To acquaint students with the life and times of the Indian novelist Kundanika Kapadia with a focus on the feminist novel " Seven Steps in the Sky".
Details of the Event: The students were enlightened about the culture, life and the spiritual journey of the writer Kundanika Kapadia. They learnt about how she and her husband, the renowned poet and visionary Shree Makarandbhai Dave, left their city life of Mumbai and dedicated their lives to social service and spirituality.
Number of Participants: 115
Outcome: The students gained insight into the writing of the novel, " Seven Steps in the Sky" and also learnt about the importance of spirituality and social obligations
